Birth of Anpanman (アンパンマン誕生/Anpanman Tanjō) is the first episode of Sore Ike! Anpanman.
Plot[]
When Uncle Jam is in the bakery kneading dough to bake a bread full of life and heart, Butterko came in with some cup of coffee, and asks him what kind of bread he is making, to which he said that he is making anpan, and he is putting his heart into making it. That night he put the dough into the oven, and they both stayed up late to wait for it. Suddenly a stream of stars flew through space towards the planet (with an egg following close behind). The stars poured into the chimney of the bakery and impacts into the oven, flashing from inside. Uncle Jam accidentally tripped over a bucket while trying to save his anpan, but he accidentally tripped over a bucket and was blinded by the light. With the shooting stars had already crashed on Uncle Jam's anpan, the door of the glow burst open, thus a baby anpan superhero is born, fulfilling Uncle Jam's dream. The baby hovers down into Uncle Jam's arms and names himself Anpanman, and the two decided to adopt him. Meanwhile, the egg however continued to fly past the bakery, until it landed on the top of a tall rock in the middle of a stormy part of the ocean. The egg was strike by lightning and hatches into a baby Baikinman.
Some time later, Uncle Jam and Butterko are having a picnic, with a younger Anpanman flying around. He wasn’t very good at flying yet however, and starts going too fast, stuck into a tree. He tries again, going much slower, before having a race with a crow. This makes him dizzy however, and he falls down near a cliff. Uncle Jam goes to catch him but slips off the cliff too. Butterko falls to the ground and starts crying, thinking that they have both died, before being overjoyed as Anpanman managed to lift Uncle Jam back to safety. Later on, Uncle Jam compliments Anpanman for being kind and brave, making Anpanman's heart feeling warm and decides to help other people using his powers. He hears something crying, and goes to see what was wrong. He flies into the forest and sees a dog crying out of hunger. To feed him, Anpanman got the idea by feeding with his part of his own head, before weakly flying him back to the bakery as some of Anpanman's power were drawn out. After Anpanman's head were replaced by Uncle Jam, he and Butterko adopts the dog and named him Cheese. On the other hand, an older Baikinman built his own base where he had hatched and exercises, and introduces himself to the viewers. He then starts develops his goal to defeat Anpanman.
In the present day, Uncle Jam, Butterko and Cheese celebrates Anpanman's birthday and prepares him a new head. Thanks to his new cape from Butterko, Anpanman's flight has improved as well. He then proceeds to start his patrol. Baikinman completes his personal UFO and starts to hunt Anpanman. On Anpanman's patrol, he comes across Tendonman dancing to his own song as usual and flies down to meet him. Tendonman introduces himself, letting Anpanman smell how delicious he is. When Anpanman introduces himself, Tendonman boasts the taste of his tendon over anpan before dancing away, before being called a weirdo by Anpanman. Baikinman flies past and smells Tendonman, ambushing him with his trap and taking his tendon. Tendonman chases him and bites his tail angrily. Anpanman flies over to check the commotion before Baikinman escapes away in his UFO. Baikinman fires his Baikin Bazooka into the chasing hero of love and courage, defeating him easily. A damaged Anpanman returns to the bakery along with Tendonman who were crying over his tendon being unwantedly eaten. The bakery staff restores Tendonman's tendon and replaces Anpanman's head before teaching Baikinman a lesson.
That evening, Baikinman was having a nap on a tree when he smelled something delicious. He used his wings to buzz towards it and investigate, to find it was a massive bowl of Tendon. He jumps in to eat it, before being trapped by giant lid dropped on him by Anpanman and Tendonman. Baikinman used a remote control to call his UFO to get the lid off, before chasing down Anpanman, shooting sludge at him again. In a chase, Anpanman flew out of the way, causing Baikinman to crash into a tree.
Anpanman picked him up and dropped him into a bath, where Uncle Jam and Butterko washed him, turning him into the size of a bug, and he floated away in a bubble while seeking revenge against Anpanman. Back at the bakery Tendonman thanked all of them for helping him before leaving happily. Anpanman, supported by the bakery staff, flew off into patrol again, ending the episode.

Trivia[]
- This is the first appearance of Butterko, Cheese and Tendonman outside of the books and comics.
- Since the debut of the anime series in earlier episodes, Anpanman had smaller eyes and Baikinman had antennas bigger.
- Many of the characters show fingers in this episode, something that is hardly seen in the later episodes.
- Baikinman has a very flexible tail in this episode, looking more like Dokinchan's.
